Under the cost-reimbursement option contract, MITRE will receive $13.3 million from the fiscal 2024 R&D funds at the time of the award. The not-for-profit organization will perform work in Bedford, Massachusetts; McLean, Virginia and other locations inside and outside the continental U.S. until Sept. 30, 2025.
The new contract is a sole source acquisition and will involve foreign military sales to other nations.
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at the Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts manages the contract.
