The Chief Information Officer-Solutions and Partners 3 and CIO-SP3 Small Business governmentwide acquisition contracts will now run through April 29, 2025, following an extension announcement from the National Institutes of Health Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center.
NITAAC said Monday extending the GWACs would ensure the availability of CIO-SP3 and CIO-SP3 Small Business contracts during the busy buying season at the end of the year.
It would also allow for continuous service delivery during the CIO-SP4 award and support of agency partners that use the contracting vehicles.
The GWACs cover information technology products and services that support federal IT and health IT requirements. In 2020, NIH added over 200 small businesses to the $20 billion CIO-SP3 IT contract.
NITAAC also extended the CIO-SP3 and CIO-SP3 Small Business contracts in May 2023 amid the bid protests filed against CIO-SP4, the potential 10-year, $50 billion follow-on contract for IT platforms and services.
