Chris Jenkins Promoted to Construction & Security Solutions Group President at Akima

Chris Jenkins, formerly chief administrative officer at Akima, has been named president of the construction and security solutions group at the Herndon, Virginia-based technology services contractor.

He will drive efforts to grow and expand the company’s construction and security capabilities into new markets and customer base, Akima said Thursday.

Jenkins joined Akima in 2006 and has since served in numerous leadership positions, including vice president of operations and president of SAVA Workforce Solutions.

“Chris is a respected leader with an impressive track record of operational excellence and continuous process improvement,” said Bill Monet, president and CEO of Akima and a 2024 Wash100 awardee.

Jenkins served in the U.S. Army as a special agent-in-charge and chief warrant officer 3 in the Army Criminal Investigation Division.
