Orstell Barnett, a more than 30-year business development executive, has been appointed vice president of growth for the federal health sector at McLean, Virginia-based digital transformation services provider DMI.
In this capacity, he will oversee strategic growth initiatives and expand DMI’s presence in the federal health sector, the company said Tuesday.
Barnett’s “profound understanding of the FedHealth landscape, coupled with his extensive experience in crafting successful capture strategies and cultivating substantial relationships with key federal customers and industry partners, reinforces DMI’s unwavering commitment to delivering transformative solutions that empower federal health agencies to fulfill their mission,” said Trey Theimer, chief growth officer at DMI.
Barnett most recently served as director of strategic growth for public health at DLH (Nasdaq: DLHC), where he led the development of market and business development strategies and implementation of growth plans.
He held senior leadership roles in growth, business development and capture at ASD Federal, 7Delta, ACS Federal Solutions and EDS.
Barnett is chairman of the Ashbrook Foundation’s board of directors and a former board member at Gardner-Webb University.
