BWXT-Amentum-Fluor Team Wins $45B Hanford Site Cleanup Contract

An industry team comprising BWX Technologies (NYSE: BWXT), Amentum and Fluor (NYSE: FLR) has secured a 10-year, $45 billion contract to manage tank waste at the Department of Energy’s Hanford Site in Washington state.

Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure, a limited liability company formed by the three companies, will oversee the former plutonium manufacturing complex under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, DOE said Thursday.

The Hanford Integrated Tank Disposition contract also covers project management, security and environment, safety, health and quality services.

H2C will take over management responsibility for the 586-square-mile complex from Amentum and Atkins’ joint venture Washington River Protection Solutions.
