Cherokee Federal has bought Alexandria, Virginia-based intelligence community support provider Preting Consulting for an undisclosed sum as part of growth and diversification efforts.
Ninety-five percent of Preting’s 150 employees are security clearance holders authorized to handle top secret or sensitive compartmented information and they provide operational support to customers in various work areas such as multi-intelligence analysis, force protection and counterterrorism missions, Cherokee Federal said Monday.
The acquired company works with government clients to address terrorist activity and other threats affecting U.S. interests.
“With the addition of Preting, we are gaining a talented team of professionals that will help us strengthen our offerings within the intelligence community and carry on our rich tradition of serving America’s mission with sophisticated solutions and relentless passion,” said Cherokee Federal President Steven Bilby.
Oklahoma-based Cherokee Federal acts as the government contracting arm of the Cherokee Nation Businesses conglomerate.
