Jeff Capponi, formerly a vice president at engineering company Senior PLC, has joined Cadence Aerospace to serve as senior VP of sales and marketing, and oversee brand awareness and develop promotional campaigns.
Cadence, a portfolio company of Arlington Capital Partners, said Monday Capponi’s responsibilities are expected to support customer partnerships, sales revenue and profitability.
Capponi holds over two decades of experience in the aerospace industry, having led several companies’ business operations and international partnerships with original equipment manufacturers. His career started in 1995 at Aerospace Manufacturing Technologies, where he held multiple marketing and sales roles before the company’s acquisition by Senior PLC.
He eventually became the business development director of Synchronous Aerospace, where he led alliances with Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT), Boeing (NYSE: BA) and other large aerospace companies. Synchronous Aerospace is now part of PCC Aerostructures.
Robert Saia, Cadence Aerospace’s SVP of business development, will support Capponi, who will directly report to CEO Olivier Jarrault.
Capponi’s appointment took effect on Sept. 27.
Through centers of excellence located in the U.S. and Mexico, Cadence manufactures and sources assemblies, machined parts and other supplies needed by large aerospace companies.
