BAE Offers Virtual Platform for Testing Joint Force Systems; Al Whitmore, Ravi Ravichandran Quoted

TYSONS CORNER, VA, August 23, 2021 — BAE Systems‘ U.S. subsidiary developed an open architecture system-of-systems testbed to help military customers assess technologies and data management processes, GovCon Wire reported Aug. 6.

The company said Aug. 5 its virtual SoS testbed functions as a system integration and engineering tool designed to link architecture specifications, simulation, modeling and command-and-control technologies.

Al Whitmore, president of BAE Intelligence & Security and a four-time Wash100 Award recipient, said the company seeks to help clients address multidomain operational requirements with its new capability.

Ravi Ravichandran, vice president and chief technology officer for the company’s I&S business sector, said the testing platform “identifies critical value points within a customer’s architecture that could be improved with emerging capabilities.”
