Mike Kahn: CAES, Raytheon to Collaborate on Military Space Internet Connectivity Project

TYSONS CORNER, VA, May 21, 2021 — CAES will create a radio frequency signal converter for a system Raytheon Technologies (NYSE: RTX) is developing to support connectivity between military aircraft and low-Earth orbit commercial internet satellites, ExecutiveBiz reported May 11.

Mike Kahn, president and CEO of CAES and 2021 Wash100 Award recipient, said the two companies will work together for the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Defense Experimentation Using Commercial Space Internet program that he believes “could become a widely used, high capacity data communications capability for the United States military.”
