Mallika Gummalla, a 14-year United Technologies Corp. veteran, has been appointed a director at Boca Raton, Florida-based private equity firm AE Industrial Partners.
Gummalla brings nearly 20 two decades of business development, innovation and technical experience to her new position and will oversee AEI’s sourcing networks for investment opportunities as well as its emerging technology assessment efforts, the company said Friday.
Prior to this appointment, she served as a sales executive and business development director for Airtech Vacuum’s New England operations.
She previously established and led UTC’s strategic innovation partnerships practice and innovation hubs for its building integrated systems segment.
Earlier in her UTC career, Gummalla spearheaded research and development of fuel cell power technology for tactical unmanned aerial vehicles.
