Boeing-Built Unmanned Combat Aircraft Takes Test Flight in Australia; Leanne Caret Quoted

TYSONS CORNER, VA, March 9, 2021 — Boeing (NYSE: BA) and the Australian air force demonstrated the performance of the company-built Loyal Wingman teaming aircraft during an initial test flight, ExecutiveBiz reported March 2.

“Boeing and Australia are pioneering fully integrated combat operations by crewed and uncrewed aircraft,” said Leanne Caret, president and CEO of Boeing Defense, Space & Security and 2021 Wash100 Award recipient.

Long Wingman represents the company’s first military aircraft development project in Australia in more than five decades and serves as the basis for its Airpower Teaming System offering currently under development for defense customers worldwide.
