Cameron Chehreh, Steve Orrin: 5G-Based Architecture Requires New Security Paradigm

TYSONS CORNER, VA, January 19, 2021 — Cameron Chehreh and Steve Orrin, respectively the federal chief technology officers for Dell Technologies (NYSE: DELL) and Intel (Nasdaq: INTC), said agencies and corporations need to shift toward a new approach to security with the advent of an enterprise 5G era, ExecutiveBiz reported Jan. 12.

“In a world of 5G, it’s not just data that must be secure, but AI algorithms and models,” the two executives wrote in a joint guest piece for Nextgov.

“As such, 5G-enabled architecture requires a new security paradigm, too: a risk-based approach that considers the whole data lifecycle.”
