The Defense Health Agency plans to award a potential $2B blanket purchase agreement to provide systems integration and managed information technology services throughout a 10-year period, Bloomberg Government reported Thursday.
DHA said in a recent industry day presentation that the first task order under the Enterprise IT Systems Integrator BPA is valued at $100M and is meant to consolidate six enterprise IT contracts.
The EITSI effort comes as part of DHA’s compliance with a congressional directive to assume ownership and oversight of the Military Health System as well as medical facilities previously under the service branches, according to BGOV.
The Department of Defense health component plans to issue a draft solicitation this week ahead of the release of a final request for quotes in January 2021.
Interested vendors must hold spots on the General Services Administration’s unified Multiple-Award Schedule contract vehicle to offer products and services through the GSA eBuy portal.
DHA intends to issue an award decision in April 2021.
