Ace Info Solutions holds a position on a potential five-year National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration contract vehicle for professional and technical services to the National Weather Service.
The Dovel-owned company said Friday NOAA designed the contract as a means to procure meteorological, communications and hydrological support for the Weather-Ready Nation initiative.
Michael Cosgrave, chief operating officer of Ace Info, noted the company aims to help the agency develop technology platforms as a contractor on the unrestricted track of the ProTech-Weather domain contract.
Cosgrave mentioned scientific development, meteorological, information technology and cloud computing as the firm's areas of support for NOAA.
The ProTech-Weather domain is a part of a package of IDIQs worth up to $3B and seeks new technological approaches for NWS personnel to deliver forecasts, data and warnings.
