TYSONS CORNER, VA, June 17, 2019 — A Cubic (NYSE: CUB) business unit will supply video data link systems to Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) in support of a follow-on modernization program to further develop the combat capability of the F-35 Lightning II fighter aircraft, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

Cubic Mission Solutions said Tuesday it will deliver software-defined, radio-based VDL technology that will work to enable the Lockheed-built F-35 to exchange sensor data and metadata with ground and other airborne platforms.

Mike Twyman, president of Cubic Mission Solutions, said the company’s team of protected communications professionals brings significant experience in common data link systems to support what he calls a “critical” program.
