Gene Colabatistto

TYSONS CORNER, VA, December 11, 2018 — CAE (NYSE: CAE) has developed a big data analytics-powered training system built on Microsoft‘s (Nasdaq: MSFT) Azure Government cloud that will work to deliver real-time assessments of pilot competencies, ExecutiveBiz reported Nov. 27.

The CAE Rise platform, which is available to the defense market, utilizes live data from simulator training sessions to provide objective insights and standardized evaluations of pilots in real time, CAE said Nov. 26.

“The aviation industry – both military and civil – faces the long-term challenge of producing sufficient numbers of highly-qualified pilots to meet demand,” noted Gene Colabatistto, president of CAE’s defense and security group and a past Wash100 awardee.

Colabatistto noted CAE Rise is designed to enhance aviation training with the goal to produce pilots who are “higher quality” and “better prepared” amid the industry’s challenges.
