IBM to Develop Blockchain-Based Public Health Info Tracking System for CDC


TYSONS CORNER, VA, September 6, 2018 — IBM (NYSE: IBM) will work with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on a project that aims to utilize blockchain technology to build a secure and transparent public health information system, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.

Fast Company reported Tuesday that the planned blockchain-based system will work to streamline current medical provider surveys designed to track public health issues by enabling automatic data collection combined with security and access monitoring functions.
