AECOM Eyes Work Under $28B DoD Tech R&D Contract; John Vollmer Quoted

TYSONS CORNER, VA, September 6, 2018 — AECOM (NYSE: ACM) will support technology research and development efforts at the Defense Department‘s Defense Technical Information Center through its position on a potential $28B contract from the DoD Information Analysis Centers, ExecutiveBiz reported Aug. 24.

The company said Aug. 23 its URS Federal Services International subsidiary secured a spot in Pool 1 to bid for an estimated $15M in task orders under the multi-award contract.

“This contract vehicle provides great flexibility to DoD and other departments’ ability to anticipate and respond to current and future threats to our national security,” said John Vollmer, president of AECOM’s management services group and a three-time Wash100 awardee.
