TYSONS CORNER, VA, May 30, 2018 The Illinois chapter of the American Public Works Association has given its 2018 Public Works Project of the Year Award, under the category for transportation projects worth more than $75 million, to Parsons for its work to replace the U.S. 52 bridge that connected Savanna, Ill., and Sabula, Iowa, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.
The Pasadena, Calif.-based company said Thursday it carried out engineering and lead design services; structural, environmental and roadway studies; coordination of community involvement; and railroad alignment for the Illinois transportation department in support of the Dale Gardner Veterans Memorial Bridge project.
APWAs award aims to recognize the collaboration of agencies, contractors and consultants for public works projects.
