Orbital ATK Holds Structural Acceptance Test on Next-Gen Launch Vehicle Component

TYSONS CORNER, VA, Nov. 10, 2017 — Orbital ATK (NYSE: OA) has completed an acceptance test on the structural integrity of a motor composite case for the company’s Next Generation Launch space launch vehicles as it pushes to advance new rocket propulsion technologies, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.

The company said Tuesday the test activity is part of its early production effort for NGL system hardware and sought to demonstrate capability against maximum expected motor operating pressure and operational/flight and pre-launch compressive/tensile line loads.
