TYSONS CORNER, VA, Oct. 9, 2017 — Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) will support a Missile Defense Agency project to test and integrate a low-power laser to an unmanned aerial vehicle under a $9.4 million contract, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.
The Defense Department said Thursday the contract is part of the Low Power Laser Demonstrator phase 1 effort and runs through July 5, 2018, with work performed in California, Colorado and New Mexico.
