Matt Hickey
Matt Hickey, formerly vice president of sales operations at AT&T‘s (NYSE: T) business solutions unit, has been appointed as channel marketing VP for the global public sector business.
He brings more than 25 years of technology and sales experience to his new role and will oversee the unit’s marketing, paid media and sponsorship activities, AT&T said Tuesday.

“Matt’s experience on the commercial side of our business can help us bring increased innovation to our public sector customers,” said Kay Kapoor, president of AT&T’s global public sector segment.
Hickey will also lead a team that works to promote technology and communications platforms to government and education customers at the federal, state, local and international levels.
AT&T’s global public sector unit is headquartered in Tysons Corner, Virginia, and generated nearly $14.8 billion in 2016 sales.
