Northrop Lands $304M Navy Contract Modification to Manufacture Lot 2 Triton UAS

Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has been awarded a $303.9 million contract modification by the U.S. Navy for low-rate initial production of three lot 2 MQ-4C Triton unmanned aircraft systems

The Defense Department said Tuesday the company will also provide one main operation control station, one forward operation control station, tooling and trade studies under the modification.

The Naval Air Systems Command obligated the full amount of the modification from the Navy’s fiscal 2016 and 2017 aircraft procurement funds.

Northrop will perform work in California, Indiana, Maryland, Mississippi, New York, Ohio, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, Canada and various locations within the continental U.S. through April 2021.

The company also received $350 million in contract funds in September to produce three lot 1 MQ-4Cs and control stations and interim spares for the Navy.
