Lockheed-Built F-35 to Support Future Ops Against Islamic State Group


TYSONS CORNER, VA, March 1, 2017 — Air Combat Command Chief Gen. Hawk Carlisle has said the Lockheed Martin-built (NYSE: LMT) F-35 fighter jet will be deployed within the next few years to support operations against the Islamic State militant group, Executive Gov reported Tuesday.

Military.com reported Friday that Carlisle noted the aircraft will eventually serve as an asset of the Combined Forces Air Component commander at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.
