Cynthia Vitters
Cynthia Vitters, former chief risk officer at the Education Department‘s federal student aid risk management office, has joined Deloitte as managing director of the company’s federal government practice.
Deloitte said Tuesday that Vitters will work with customer agencies to help them develop, implement and sustain enterprise risk management programs.
“Cynthia’s knowledge and experience in ERM is extensive she has a strong and impressive track record of developing ERM programs that make an impact,” said Matt Widmer, federal government services leader and principal of the risk financial advisory services business at Deloitte.
Vitters maintained an FSA risk profile and managed the student financial aid program’s $1.4 trillion outstanding loan portfolio in her previous role at the Education Department.
She also led the development of the ERM playbook at the Office of Management and Budget as a senior risk adviser.
Vitters previously served as a senior auditor at the Education Department’s office of inspector general.
