Ian Bell, Marc-Olivier Sabourin Take New Leadership Roles at CAE’s Defense & Security Segment

Ian Bell, formerly head of the Europe/Middle East/Africa region at CAE (NYSE: CAE), has been named vice president and general manager for Asia-Pacific and the Middle East within the Montreal, Quebec-based company’s defense and security segment.

CAE also appointed Marc-Olivier Sabourin, formerly regional operations director and deputy general manager for the firm’s Europe region, as VP and GM for Europe and Africa within the company’s defense and security segment, the company said Thursday.

Gene Colabatistto, CAE’s group president for defense and security, said Bell and Sabourin will work to help the company deliver training systems and simulation platforms to defense clients.

Bell, a 10-year company veteran, will oversee the operations of the firm’s defense and security segment in Asia Pacific and Middle East through CAE’s regional office in Sydney, Australia.

Sabourin, a 21-year CAE veteran, will be based at the firm’s office in Stolberg, Germany, to manage the defense and security business unit’s operations in Africa and Europe.
