Todd Wright, formerly executive vice president for operations at AECOMâs (NYSE: ACM)Â nuclear and environment strategic business unit, has been named general manager and EVP of the business unit.
Wright will be in charge of the unitâs business development, strategic programs and daily operations, AECOM said Wednesday.
The 35-year nuclear industry veteran held leadership positions at the Energy Department and the U.K. Nuclear Decommissioning Authority.
Wright is a former director at DoEâs Savannah River National Laboratory, Â where he led the construction of aÂ hydrogen research center and formation of strategicÂ partnerships with research institutions, FBI and other federal agencies.
He also served as managing director at Sellafield Ltd. -Â a nuclear decommissioning site controlled by NDA – and helped manage radioactive wasteÂ processing and retrieval operations as well asÂ construction projects in support of nuclear decommissioning work.
