TYSONS CORNER, VA, Oct. 18, 2016 — American Systems‘ engineering and analytical solutions division has achieved AS9100C aerospace quality management system certification, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.
In preparation for the certification, EASD underwent a two-day external audit of its contracts and program management, engineering and production, risk management, configuration management, purchasing and quality procedures, the company said Monday.
“American Systems has adhered to a strict, overarching quality policy of our own for decades, and conducts annual audits to maintain our ISO 9001:2008 and CMMI Level 3 registrations, ” said Peter Smith, president and CEO of American Systems.
He noted that the existing certifications serve as foundation for accreditation under the AS9100C program.
