Zain Ahmed, senior vice president for the public sector and East Enterprise region at Lumen Technologies (NYSE: LUMN), has been promoted to SVP for the North America Enterprise region at the telecommunications company, GovCon Wire has learned.
In his previous role, he led a team of technical professionals responsible for delivering information technology products and telecommunications support services to federal, state, local government and education organizations.
Ahmed held roles of increasing responsibility at CenturyLink, now known as Lumen, including VP and general manager for civilian and law enforcement practice and senior director for civilian practice.
He spent more than three years at Level 3 Communications, which was acquired by CenturyLink in 2017.
His industry career included time as a principal at RRA Enterprises and sales engineering manager at Verizon (NYSE: VZ).
