William Shaw, formerly an IBM (NYSE: IBM) executive, has been named senior vice president of business development and sales at McLean, Virginia-based information technology and management consultancy company Xcelerate Solutions.
He brings more than 25 years of federal market experience to his new position and will support Xcelerate’s growth and strategic efforts in his new position, the company said Friday.
His new responsibilities, which include client interaction and go-to-market functions, are focused on introducing enterprise security, strategic consulting and digital transformation services to new markets.
Prior to his appointment, Shaw oversaw IBM’s integrated cross-brand business for the Department of Defense and was involved in business development, sales, capture and sales activities at the company.
