In his new role, McKay will oversee the company’s New Construction Program Management. The long-time NASSCO executive will leverage over 15 years of experience in program management.
McKay’s NASSCO Career Highlights
McKay has been with NASSCO for over 18 years. Before his latest promotion, he was the director of government programs for three years. He also served as program manager from 2015 to 2022 and deputy program manager from 2010 to 2015. Some of the programs McKay handled include the Tactical Airlift and Equipment, or T-AKE, Mobile Landing Platform/Expeditionary Sea Base, or MLP/ESB, and Fleet Replenishment Oilers, or T-AO.
The executive also served as a project engineer and area manager early in his career. He became part of the professional development program when he joined the company in 2007.
McKay earned a degree in Marine Transportation from the California State University Maritime Academy.
