Voyager Space Adds Defense Tech Offerings Through VTS Acquisition

Voyager Space has acquired Valley Tech Systems in a strategy to add propulsion and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance technology offerings to the space exploration company’s portfolio.

Denver-based Voyager said Monday it aims to apply products from the acquired company to support space missions at the Department of Defense and commercial sector.

VTS is developing propulsion, nozzle and reaction control technologies under its contracts with NASA, the Missile Defense Agency, the U.S. Army and the Air Force.

Voyager’s push to build up its market presence has involved bringing in Jim Bridenstine and Ellen Lord, respectively former administrator at NASA and acquisition chief at the Department of Defense, as board members.
