Defense and space technology company Voyager Technologies has completed the acquisition of ElectroMagnetic Systems Inc., a California-based company specializing in artificial intelligence and machine learning-driven automated target recognition software and intelligence analytics for space radar systems.
Enhancing AI-Driven Space-Based Systems
Voyager said Thursday the purchase of EMSI enhances its delivery of advanced AI-powered intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities. The move aims to accelerate the scaling of its AI-native systems supporting defense and intelligence operations. It boosts Voyager’s ability to deliver real-time monitoring across multiple domains, including ground, air and space by augmenting the human interface.
The acquisition enables Voyager to integrate EMSI’s space-based radar technology, including its AI-powered synthetic aperture radar and inverse synthetic aperture radar. EMSI also offers advanced radar simulation software capable of producing realistic training imagery that can be leveraged to boost automated target recognition.
Comments From Voyager, EMSI CEOs
“EMSI’s technology enables us to deliver actionable intelligence at machine speed in increasingly contested environments,” said Dylan Taylor, CEO of Voyager.
“With their intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance offerings, Voyager is a natural fit for us. Together we can expand our offerings with cutting-edge machine learning and AI to deliver advanced imaging, automated target recognition and feature exploitation,” said Brian Lamb, founder, president and CEO of EMSI.
