Ziv Shoshani: Vishay Precision Group Adds Safety Testing Platform With DTS Acquisition

Vishay Precision Group (NYSE: VPG) has purchased Diversified Technical Systems, a Southern California-based provider of data acquisition and sensor technology for testing applications, in an approximately $47 million deal.

Malvern, Pennsylvania-based VPG said Tuesday it will fund the payment through new borrowing and cash on hand.

VPG CEO Ziv Shoshani said the deal adds embedded data acquisition and logging systems to the company’s sensor portfolio for avionics and military customers.

DTS offers miniature instruments designed to acquire and record test data in various industries such as the automotive, aerospace and defense sectors.

The Southern California-based measurement technology supplier posted $32 million in 2020 sales and a margin of more than 25 percent for earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization.
