He will oversee the development and implementation of the company’s technical vision, roadmap and strategy related to data and advanced analytics and help accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence and machine learning, data mesh, DataOps and other technologies to meet customers’ existing and future needs, Unissant said Thursday.
Manish Malhotra, chairman and CEO of Unissant, said Deshpande brings to the role 20 years of experience designing and delivering data and cloud-enabled platforms for large enterprises and will help the company expand its service offerings in support of customers and partners.
Prior to Unissant, Deshpande served as senior director of cloud engineering at FI Consulting, where he led the development of multicloud environments and data analytics platforms for several clients, including the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Small Business Administration, FannieMae and FreddieMac. He also worked at Armedia as senior director of solutions engineering.
Herndon, Virginia-based Unissant is a small disadvantaged business that provides IT, data and analytics platforms for customers in federal civilian, national security, health and financial services markets.
