PACIFIC OCEAN (Oct. 30, 2017) U.S. Marines with 1st Marine Expeditionary Brigade and Sailors with Expeditionary Strike Group 3, conduct amphibious, combined arms, aviation and expeditionary advanced base operations training off the coast of Southern California during Exercise Dawn Blitz. The scenario-based training evolution allows the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps to refine and strengthen core amphibious competencies critical to maritime power projection by exercising a force designed to respond to threats to the United States and its allies.
