The 2nd Infantry Division/ROK-US Combined Division has a proud and honorable history which reflects the heart of the American Soldier. The division was organized Oct. 26, 1917, at Bourmont, Haute Marne, France. Having fought in four wars, #2ID is one of the most decorated divisions in the United States Army. It boasts 40 Medal of Honor recipients, and over 20 campaign participation credits. At the time of its activation the Indian head Division was composed of existing Army and Marine units of the American Expeditionary Forces during WWI. The division has also participated in WWII, the Korean War and the Global War on Terrorism.
