The U.S. Air Force has awarded Vertex Aerospace a potential $500 million contract to provide contractor logistics support services for the C-12 aircraft fleet, the Department of War announced Friday.

What Does the C-12 Logistics Contract Cover?
The firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract covers logistics services, including time-sensitive transportation of personnel and cargo, medical evacuation missions and test support for Air Force Materiel Command, the Defense Intelligence Agency, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency and Pacific Air Forces. The award also supports foreign military sales, or FMS, requirements.
Where Will the Work Be Performed?
Vertex Aerospace will perform work at U.S. locations including Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska; Edwards Air Force Base, California; Joint Base Andrews, Maryland; Madison, Mississippi; Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico; Okmulgee, Oklahoma; and San Angelo, Texas. International work will take place in Argentina, Botswana, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Ghana, Honduras, Hungary, Japan, Kenya, Morocco, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Turkey and Norway. Work is expected to be completed by June 30, 2031.
What Are the Contract Details?
The Air Force received three offers through competitive procurement. At the time of award, the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center obligated $237,125 in fiscal 2026 operations and maintenance funds, $7,250 in fiscal 2026 research, development, test and evaluation funds and $5,659 in FMS funds.
The award builds on Vertex’s longstanding support of the Air Force’s C-12 fleet, including logistics support contracts awarded in December 2023 and December 2024 for aircraft sustainment services.
