Vectrus (NYSE: VEC) has secured a $212 million contract modification from the U.S. Army to support communications equipment and information systems of the Army Network Enterprise Technology Command and its subordinate units in the Southwest Asia theater of operations.
The Defense Departmentsaid Friday the company will perform work in Afghanistan, Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates through May 31, 2018.
NETCOM provides technical control and support services for Director of Information Management operations, oversees the service branch’s total information structure as well as helps defend the Army’s frequency spectrum.
Vectrus received a $160.2 million modification from the Army in May 2015 to provide operations and maintenance support for NETCOM’s 160th Signal Brigade and other units deployed to Southwest Asia.
DoD noted that the Army Contracting Command will obligate the full amount of the modification from fiscal 2017 Army operations and maintenance funds.
