Vectrus Systems (NYSE: VEC) has won a potential $115 million contract from the U.S. Army to continue operations and maintenance, information technology support and supply services for the U.S. Army Europe, U.S. European Command and U.S. Africa Command.
The company said Wednesday the Operations, Maintenance and SupplyEurope contract has an eight-month base period and four one-year option periods.
“Vectrus has more than 30 years of client mission support under the OPMAS-E contract, dating back to 1977,” said Chuck Prow, Vectrus president and CEO.
Prow, an inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s 2017 Wash100, added the company provides IT services across the U.S. and in 17 countries through the OPMAS-E, Army Corps of Engineers-Information Technology, Enterprise Legacy Voice and Information System and Operations, Maintenance and Defense of Army Communications in Southwest Asia and Central Asia contracts.
The OPMAS-E contract involves operation and maintenance of Defense Department information networks; Defense Red Switch networks, voice over internet protocol, call manager technologies, systems/network administration, help desk support and inside/outside fiber optic cable management, among others.
Vectrus also helps maintain the Armed Forces Television and air traffic control systems as well as operate the Army Europe Facility Control Office under the contract.
Work currently occurs in Germany, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, the Balkans, Turkey, Romania and Bulgaria.
