The proposed VA CSOC Next Generation II Support contract will have a nine-month base period and four 12-month options and will require the vendor to provide comprehensive cybersecurity and information support services for the center, according to a sources sought notice published Thursday.
Tasks include project management, vulnerability scanning services support, cybersecurity execution management services, cybersecurity threat intelligence, cybersecurity incident response, cybersecurity analytics, CTI insider threat analysis and cybersecurity techical services, according to the draft performance work statement.
VA CSOC conducts independent verification and validation of the department’s cybersecurity posture, oversees efforts to prepare for and defend against emerging threats and performs cyber-related reporting to outside agencies.
The department wants interested stakeholders to provide information on their staffing approach and offer feedback on the technical requirements outlined in the draft PWS that encompass production operations and software development support services to be performed under the proposed contract.
