Hank Vanderborght, formerly a senior vice president of Precise Systems, has been promoted to chief operations officer at the Lexington Park, Maryland-based professional services provider.
The retired U.S. Marine Corps colonel is responsible for managing the company’s contracting deals and technical and business programs in his COO position, Precise said Tuesday.
In his prior capacity, Vanderborght oversaw major contracts that supported naval aviation programs under the Department of Defense.
He retired from the Marine Corps in 2018 after more than 26 years of service, which included overseas deployments in support of Operation Desert Thunder, Operation Safe Departure and Operation Iraqi Freedom One.
His military awards include the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal and the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal.
