TYSONS CORNER, VA, Sept. 12, 2017 A Unisys (NYSE: UIS) survey has unveiled that more than half of federal information technology executives believe that an increase in security challenges at their agencies could be attributed to their IT modernization efforts, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.
The company said Wednesday the Market Connections-administered survey of 200 federal IT leaders indicates 62 percent see cybersecurity as a top modernization priority area over the next year compared to the 59 percent who said modernization resulted in an increase in IT security concerns.
“The results of this survey tell us that many federal agencies may not have adequate staff and resources to manage security challenges in today’s more complex and modernized IT environments,” said PV Puvvada, president of Unisys federal business and an inductee into Executive Mosaic’s Wash100 for 2017.
