Unissant Team Wins $182M CBP Vetting Tech Support Contract; Manish Malhotra Quoted

A team comprised of Unissant, Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) and Linkware will provide workflow processing support for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s passenger vetting systems under a potential $182.3M contract.

Unissant said Friday it will work with teaming partners to help the CBP Targeting and Analysis Systems Program Directorate maintain an information technology applications suite as part of the award.

Efforts will involve cloud migration and DevOps implementation to support modernization initiatives at CBP and the Department of Homeland Security.

The team secured the contract via the National Institutes of Health's Chief Information Officer–Solutions and Partners 3 procurement vehicle.

“CBP’s mission calls for improved security at America’s borders and ports of entry, and we’re looking forward to help make that mission a success," said Manish Malhotra, CEO of Unissant.

Malhotra added that the company sees opportunities to apply new platforms to help the agency perform its mission amid the evolving technology landscape.

Unissant received separate task orders worth $230M combined in October for CBP targeting and analysis technology support.
