The Cleveland, Ohio-based aircraft component supplier said Wednesday Raptor Scientific, a portfolio company of L Squared Capital Partners, is a global manufacturer of test and measurement products for aerospace and defense end markets.
The acquired company has approximately 170 employees and several manufacturing sites in California, Connecticut, Alabama and New Hampshire.
Raptor Scientific’s 2024 revenue is expected to reach approximately $90 million, mostly from sales of its proprietary products.
When the acquisition was announced in May, TransDigm President and CEO Kevin Stein said, “[Raptor Scientific’s] product portfolio of aerospace and defense testing and instrumentation solutions fits well with our value generation strategy.”
“As with all TransDigm acquisitions, we expect this acquisition to create equity value in-line with our long-term private equity-like return objectives,” Stein added.
