Tracey Davies Joins Axiom Space as Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary

Tracey Davies has been appointed chief legal officer, general counsel and corporate secretary at Axiom Space.

Davies will leverage her over 25 years of experience in legal, government and private industries in her new roles, the human spaceflight services company said Friday. Davies’ background includes leading teams through disputes and government investigations across international jurisdictions, with expertise in complex matters such as mergers and acquisitions, antitrust and intellectual property.

Jonathan Cirtain, CEO and president of Axiom Space, welcomed Davies. “Her proven experience in global legal affairs, life sciences, and the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries will further enable Axiom Space to provide an accessible platform for private companies and governments to continue the research and development of breakthrough innovations to advance civilization,” Cirtain said.

What Roles Has Tracey Davies Held Before Axiom Space?

Before joining Axiom Space, Davies served as senior vice president and associate general counsel at Edwards Lifesciences. Prior to that, she held the chief strategic initiatives and intellectual property officer role at the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas. Earlier in her career, Davies spent more than eight years as a partner at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, following over 14 years at Vinson & Elkins, where she was a partner and chair of the global technology, life sciences and intellectual property practices. She began her legal career as an associate at Arnold White & Durkee in 1997.
