Tom McCabe, an industry veteran with more than three decades of legal and operations management experience, has been appointed chief operating officer and general counsel at digital engineering company Istari, GovCon Wire has learned.
McCabe comes to Istari from BWX Technologies (NYSE: BWXT), where he helped grow earnings over 50 percent in five years. Before that, he was part of the team that grew Orbital ATK’s enterprise value from $1 billion to $9 billion in five years.
Citing McCabe’s success in enabling sustained growth at technology companies, Istari CEO Will Roper stated, “We’re very excited to have Tom join our leadership team as Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel. His proven track record helping companies grow will accelerate and expand Istari’s digital engineering solutions across sectors. A big day for our company!”
Istari was founded in May 2022 by Roper, former Air Force acquisition chief and a three-time Wash100 awardee, with the backing of former Google CEO Eric Schmidt and other investors.
In February, the company introduced a product platform with the goal of helping customers to transform digital processes and advance the Industry 4.0 concept.
