TYSONS CORNER, VA, April 30, 2019 ” Nick Jovanovic, vice president of the federal division of Thales‘ eSecurity business, said best practices such as encryption and access control will work to help federal agencies bolster efforts to protect data and counter identity theft, ExecutiveBiz reported April 17.
Jovanovic wrote in a company blog post published April 16 that securing personal health information and personally identifiable information calls for encryption measures and access control based on the “principle of least privilege,” in which access rights are restricted to only the essential resources or files as well as only the required permissions.
He also urged the government to ensure cyber hygiene and increase accountability for officials in order to address instances of data breach.
