TYSONS CORNER, VA, June 30, 2017 Wayne Lewandowski, vice president of the federal business at Thales e-Security, has urged the U.S. government to refocus its cybersecurity investments to enterprise-wide protection for potential targets of attacks, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.
Lewandowski previewed the findings of the 2017 Thales Data Threat Report in an interview posted Monday on Federal News Radio and said that government spending on network and endpoint security has increased but may not address risks directly.
“We have to make the assumption that the adversary is in our network and has accelerated their ability to gain higher levels of access to privileged user accounts,” he said.
