Thad Anderson, a 35-year technology industry veteran, has assumed the role of general manager of Presidio’s federal arm on a permanent basis.
His promotion came six months after serving as acting GM of Presidio Federal and overseeing the structural changes needed to establish the subsidiary as an independent entity focused on supporting federal government clients, Presidio Federal said in a June 7 news release.
Dave Hart, president and chief operating officer of Presidio, said Anderson led the security and contract novation changes to facilitate compliance with Foreign Ownership, Control or Influence rules and regulations during Presidio Federal’s transition into a separate entity.
In June 2021, Presidio Government Solutions, which operates publicly as Presidio Federal, officially launched as the U.S. government-focused business of parent company Presidio with the goal of supporting federal customers in the areas of cybersecurity, cloud, automation, collaboration, augmentation and digital infrastructure.
Anderson, who has held leadership roles at the parent company for nearly two decades, previously served as senior vice president of solutions and services at Presidio Federal. Prior to joining the federal arm, he led the professional services organization within Presidio’s Southeast region and oversaw the staging and integration services group.
“We touch many agencies that provide critical services to the citizens of this country every day including security both inside and outside the U.S. Our top priorities continue to be diversification and growth, aligning to the needs of our federal customers,” said Anderson.
